Department of Economic Development Business
Case
COLLEGE PARK,
Georgia – February 19, 2009 -
The Georgia Department of Economic
Development (GDEcD) recently conducted a
business case entitled, “Georgia is on the
mind of Canadian companies”. The purpose of
this business case was to research into the
reason why so many Canadian companies have
elected to set up operations in Georgia.
Canada is currently Georgia’s top business
partner.
FELLFAB® was one of the companies
selected to participate in this study. FELLFAB®
is a Canadian owned company who operates two
locations in College Park, Georgia with an
excess of 30,000 square feet of manufacturing
and office space.
The GDEcD contacted FELLFAB® and
had the opportunity to speak directly with
FELLFAB®’s President and Owner Glen
Fell. Mr. Fell was asked to comment on the
factors that helped make his company’s
decision to set up operations in Georgia. He
was quoted with the following statement,
“Georgia proved to be the ideal location. We
valued the proximity to our customers and our
suppliers. We were treated very well by the
state, with some unique training and
networking opportunities.”
FELLFAB® manufactures a diverse
range of engineered textile products for many
different market segments. These segments
include; Aviation, Military, Rail, Industrial,
Aerospace, and Telecommunications. Some of the
main products manufactured in FELLFAB®’s
